Resource-efficient performance testing of metalworking fluids utilizing single-point milling

Metalworking fluids have the ability to extend cutting tool life and improve machinability of materials. There is a need for development reliable machining tests which can be used screen with high confidence allow ranking in terms performance. This study developed novel methodology utilizing single-point milling evaluate fluid performance wear forces across various aerospace alloys. The repeatability procedure was assessed demonstrated by using standard deviation. showed alternative compositions could influence all material variants. Inconel 718 shown hardest machine followed Titanium Ti–5Al–5Mo–5V–3Cr Ti–6Al–4V. However, each material, there differentiation up 11% difference average between different fluids.
